Welcome to our new series SOUTH WILD RESERVES (தென்னாட்டு வன சரணாலயங்கள்)! Our journey begins in the dense forests of the Nilgiri Biosphere. This epic wildlife adventure covers 6 iconic reserves across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. In this first episode, we explore the Sathyamangalam forest area, driving from the Bannari Checkpost towards our Hasanur stay. This terrain is known for large herds of elephants, but what happens when the sun goes down?

The real adventure starts with our first night drive on the infamous Dhimbam Ghat Road. This 14 km stretch features 27 sharp hairpin bends, making it challenging even in daylight. But after the traffic stops, this road belongs to the predators! We risk waiting in complete darkness and are rewarded with an adrenaline-pumping, up-close encounter. Which mighty predator emerged from the shadows just in front of our car? You don't want to miss this rare night footage!

As responsible wildlife enthusiasts, we strictly followed all Forest Department rules. We did not disturb, pursue, or harass the animals. Their safety and natural behavior are our priority.
