NKP 587 - Muncie IN - June 29 1991

On June 29, 1991, the NKP 587 was used for an excursion train from Frankfort Indiana to Muncie & return.

I was able to chase it from Alexandria to Muncie and back.

1. The eastbound train arriving at Alexandria.

2. Passing under Highway 332.

3. I believe this is Morrison rd on the west side of Muncie

4. Crossing the White River.

5. Arriving at Muncie at Powers st.

6. An NS roadrailer train w at Madison st in Muncie.

7. A Conrail westbound at Jefferson st

8. Classic high-hood power on an NS westbound at Jefferson st.

9. The 587 and train pull east at Jefferson st.

10. A Conrail freight heads west.

11. 587 backs onto the wye to turn the train for the return trip.

12. The excursion train heads west across the White river.

13. 587 somewhere west of Muncie.

14 587 arrives and departs from Alexandria Indiana.
