Bolt Action showcase - Polish Airborne Brigade

Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel! If you have been watching the channel lately or following me across social media, you will know that since the start of the new year I have been working on a new Bolt Action project – a Polish Airborne platoon based around Operation Market Garden. Well the hours that I have sunk into the project have come to fruition and in this video, I am going to be showcasing the finished project.

The platoon was made using the British or Polish Paratroop Reinforced Platoon from the Market Garden campaign book. As I was basing this platoon on the Polish landing an fighting around Driel, I wanted my troop choices to reflect this. The Polish had no access to anti-tank or artillery support and so I decided I was going to take an all ‘infantry’ based platoon with no ant-tank, artillery, armour or transports.

The platoon comes in at 970 points and 10 order dice and is led by Major-General Sosabowski. I don’t normally include special characters in my Bolt Action armies but as Sosabowski is iconic with regards to the Polish Aiborne, I thought I would make an exception in this case!

Modelling wise, there has been quite a lot of kitbashing and converting to get the platoon to how I wanted it to look. From very simple arm swaps to completely kitbashing new crews for the support weapons, a lot of time was spent planning and completing these conversions. Overall they were definitely worth the time and effort as I now have a new and really unique Bolt Action army.
