The World Youth Summit launched in 2013 in Tunisia, brought together 80 GCC and Mercy Corps youth leaders (18-25 years old) from eight countries with the aim of strengthening the existing international network of youth leaders, while building upon their capacity and confidence to operate as self-sustaining leaders in their communities and to create scalable, sustainable initiatives.
Through the five-day Summit, the young people shared on the GCC model, learned about one another’s cultures and experiences as leaders in their communities, and developed relationships to support their continued civic engagement activities
