The heart of historical Camrose Alberta | Mirror Lake Park

The City of Camrose is approximately 20,000 people. It really just reminds me of like the city
that I grew up near. It's got more country vibes, but with the awesome city amenities.
Mirror Lake Park is the heart of historical Camrose and is a great place to go for a walk, stop for ice cream, check out the visitor information center. The trail is paved all around Mirror Lake Park. It is 0.7km for the small loop, or 2.16km for the large loop. I was reading, and apparently you can even
launch your boat from the northwest side of the walking bridge across Mirror Lake, and in the winter you can ice skate on Mirror Lake. Mirror Lake is a man made lake that was created. It is a storage reservoir for supplying water for the steam engines. The lake was simply known as the dam
until the Camrose Chamber of Commerce sponsored “a name the Dam Contest” and that got the name Mirror Lake. Countless photographs and paintings have captured the shoreline, reflected in Mirror Lake's clear surface, particularly in the spring and early summer.
