How to Make Korean Iced Americano | Korean Coffee Recipe

Korean Iced Americano is one of the most popular drinks to get here in Korea. Consider this the holy grail of coffee here in Korea: It's cheap, contains no fat, and gives you enough energy to last the whole day. That's the holy trifecta when it comes to this fast-paced country.

Iced Americano is a simple drink made with a shot or two of espresso along with some water and ice. Most iced Americanos here in Korea taste dark and strong. So to pay proper homage to this drink, I used dark-roasted beans to make this drink. I also used an espresso machine considering it's the best way to fully extract the darker notes from ground coffee beans. Note though, you don't need an espresso machine to make this. You can simply use instant coffee mix, such as Maxim Coffee which is my favorite, or whatever coffee mix that you have.

All in all, this is a great drink to enjoy with a book, or if you just need an extra kick of caffeine in your system. Whatever your reasons, this Korean iced Americano is great for any occasion.
