P&O Arvia Mediterranean Cruise ..Alicante

It was the 28th of June 2025 and our next port was Alicante . Again it was another port that we were visiting for the first time . Today we were heading to the buffet for breakfast , after that we disembarked the ship , this time getting the shuttle bus that dropped you just outside the port.
Again like Malaga it was very hot so after walking along by the harbour we crossed over into the city and found ourselves a cafe in the shade and enjoyed a nice Coffee .
Afterwards we continued to explore more of the city and came across a free museum called LAB 15 which gave you a history of Alicante which was very interesting. Plus it was lovely and cool inside .
From there we headed to a place that we had been told about called Mushroom street , well I don't think that' that is its official name but you can see why it is given that name when you watch the vlog . We were told about a very nice wine bar in Mushroom street , we managed to find it and enjoyed a couple of glasses with our friends Jo and Tony .
After returning to the ship we enjoyed some relaxing time on the balcony , before getting ready to go to the Olive Grove for dinner . I was very disappointed with the Olive grove, the reason being is that the menu has been reduced so much . The Olive Grove now helps out the MDR so the Mediterranean menu is very limited.
From there we went up to the Sky dome where they had a saxophonist playing called Sax machine. Tonight the roof was open so that really did make an improvement to the acoustics. Along with the accompanying light show it sounded and looked very good . We finished our night up in the Crows Nest for a nightcap . We enjoyed our first visit to Alicante , not quite as much as Malaga , but again a very walkable city .
