How I made a replica version of the Half-Blood Prince's version of Advanced Potion Making from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Since we've been stuck at home for a while, I wanted to brush up on some prop making techniques.

I found a few books of different sizes at a used book store and decided which one felt the best, then printed a slightly modified version of the cover (courtesy of Wizardry Workshop • Advanced Potion Making Book Box - Harry Po... ) and Mod Podged it onto the book. From there I used some 220 grit sandpaper to scuff the edges, sprayed some watered-down coffee onto the pages, hit everything with some paint and "Movie Dust" or Fuller's Earth. There is also a pretty advanced technique that I demonstrated here called "throwing it around" to help really give the feeling that this book has seen quite a few years.
This a bit of a departure from my normal woodworking projects but this was a blast to make!
