The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology has launched its campaign as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which runs from 25 November to 10 December.
This year’s theme, “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” underscores the growing dangers women and girls face online—including harassment, cyberbullying, and image-based abuse.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness, strengthen prevention efforts, and mobilise action against all forms of GBV in Namibia, with a specific focus on digital violence.
Shasima Uugulu, the Deputy Director of the Production Division, shares more insight.
