"Becoming a saint is not out of our reach," shared Bishop Michael F. Burbidge in his homily for the Solemnity of All Saints at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More at the 12:05 p.m. on Nov. 1.
In his homily, Bishop Burbidge reminded the faithful that the saints were just like us, but persevered in courageously practicing and living out their faith. It is through the Beatitudes that Jesus shows us the way to becoming blessed.
"While there is a wide variety of saints, they all found the same path to heaven: the path of humility. Humbly, we must rely on God's love for us, His grace and mercy, and through the intercession of the saints we honor today."
