Title: "Jesus Keeps Moving Forward"
Text: Matthew 4:17 & Luke 6:13-16
Supporting Texts: John 1:29, 36; Hebrews 9:27-28; Luke 19:10; Luke 4:14-15; Mark 1:14-15; Romans 10:17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Acts 1:15; Luke 6:12
Thesis: The texts reveal Jesus' determination to keep moving forward as God's will is paramount. .
I. Jesus came for a purpose and He will not be deterred
II. Jesus demonstrates that the proclaiming of the Good News is of first importance
III. Jesus understands that God's plan calls for qualified disciples to step up so the Kingdom of God will advance
As a congregation we need to stay focused. We need to do our part to keep the church moving forward, preaching and teaching the Good News, and raising up qualified disciples who will also pass it on.
