Venture with us along the Eel River in Northern California as we travel from Willits to Eureka with a stop at Fort Seward in Humboldt County. The old Southern Pacific Railroad Budd RDC-1 diesel railcar didn't move very fast along the twisting Eel River route but the scenery and old wrecks along the way were memorable. Unfortunately the Northwestern Pacific lost this route to flooding and high maintenance.
