Colorado Alpine Loop Adventures on Engineer Pass

Following our trip from Ouray CO to Lake City CO via Cinnamon Pass, we complete our exploration of the Colorado Alpine Loop, by returning via Engineer Pass. We hoped to spend some more time camping in some remote areas and test our abilities on more difficult trails and passes. In this video, we share the first half of our experience on the Alpine Loop trail in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. From the town of Ouray, we start our ascent via the Mineral Creek Trail, perhaps one of the most difficult trails we have tackled thus far in our Jeep Gladiator. Once at higher elevation, we had the option to travel over Cinnamon Pass or Engineer Pass. We selected the former option, with the plan to return to the Ouray area via Engineer Pass on a subsequent day. Join us to experience the Alpine Loop and see the historic mine works and homesteads along the way.
