The Roadside Ultra Classic. I really, really wanted the onsight of this thing, though even I have to admit, it's more of a flash. End of the day ugliest ensued but even with a couple screw ups, got the job done.
So 12a? It's steep but short. There are a few bad holds but intermixed with a whole lot of very good ones. A few bouldery moves among pretty decent stances and rests.
I'm going to say yes, 12a. For staters, 12's in the Red are a breed of their own (in terms of style and difficulty). While I've been on 11's I've felt were harder, it doesn't mean that this climb just fit my style and those "harder" 11's just didn't. But more so 12a because I thought it simply "felt" like a top star 12a. It for whatever reason reminded me a lot of Narcissus ( • Sport Climbing on Narcissus at the New Riv... ) at Summersville.
But if consensus puts at 11d or 11c, I wouldn't be heartbroken. It doesn't make it any less fun of a climb.
