In this second part of my Kafka series, I point out the role uncertainty plays within K.'s trial and trials in general. Josef K. starts his quest to find out what crime he is accused of and is faced with closed door after closed door. Every clue he follows leads him to another clue - every sign leads to yet another sign. Ultimately, K. is running around in circles and his excluded from his own trial while the machines of the bureaucratic systems keeps on processing his case.
