There are four main types of cleaning systems for dust collectors, each suited for specific applications. Shaker baghouses clean by mechanically shaking filter bags to release dust but require airflow to stop during cleaning. Reverse air baghouses use a fan to blow air back through the filters, collapsing them partially to dislodge dust. Pulse jet systems, the industry standard, clean filters online using compressed air pulses, offering compact design and suitability across industries. Lastly, medium-pressure or rotating arm systems provide gentler cleaning, extending filter life and fitting well in industries like food, wood, and sand processing, but lack the power of pulse jet systems. Additionally, cartridge dust collectors are similar to pulse jets but use cartridges instead of bags.
