No animals have charmed the public pshyche here in Taiwan like elephant Lin-wang and his mate Ma-lan, eventhough both of them have passed on for more than 10 years. The two elephants lived through the second World War, and Lin-Wang was said to have played crucial logistic roles in the battle against the Japanese in then-Burma. With cutting-edge restoration technology, the skeletons of the elephant couple, now stand tall at the National Museum of Natural Science. Here's a look.

過去台北動物園的動物明亞洲象"林旺"及母象馬蘭，相繼過世後，骨骸在動物園庫房一放十多年，透過台中科博館的修復技術，讓林旺馬蘭重新"站起來"。
