After six decades of static display and storage, Nevada Northern Railway's 1917 Baldwin 2-8-0 No. 81 began public service on the historic line in late September 2021. We went there to capture the action in picturesque Ely, Nevada, on Friday 1 October. The museum railroad shops is a fabulous time capsule. The restoration was done in-house. The Nevada Northern deserves a huge Thumbs Up for all they do to keep their vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock in service.
