Yukimiya is introduced as the 5th best player in Blue Lock, described by Reo as "A hard dribbler that relies on speed and power", and also packing a potent shooting weapon in his "Gyro Shot".

We don't see too much of him before the Neo Egoist League begins, there's a brief glimpse of him in Blue Lock vs U20, but the Manshine game is his first major appearance.

Following Isagi being substituted on ahead of him in the previous game, despite Yukimiya's higher numbers, Yukimiya has a growing grudge that he at times focuses on instead of what he needs to do to be able to win.

He lets his jealousy and frustration get in the way of his own success:

We see this in his attempt to score that was blocked by Chris Prince - where he blindly charges in hoping to score. Jinpachi comments on this and how there was the potential for a downfall on the level of Nagi happening to him too. His rivalry with Isagi drives the concluding goal of the Bastard Munchen vs Manshine city match, and at the match's climax, something utterly unexpected happens...
