Artist Alexander Sergeev and his flowers

Artist Alexander Sergeev was born in 1968. In 1995, he graduated from the Architectural Institute in Kyrgyzstan. While still a student at the Architectural Institute, he became interested in painting and sculpture. He became so interested that after graduating, he decided to become a professional artist.
“I paint with oil, a brush, and a palette knife. My painting is bright, pasty, full of light, movement, and musical rhythm. It harmoniously merges with the soul of nature, the lessons of which, infinitely valuable and diverse, I try to comprehend and implement in my work. I have a musical education in piano.”
The author has a special love for working with oil: it gives the paintings liveliness, volume, and brightness of colors. Using a brush and a palette knife, he creates unimaginable curves from thick layers of paint, which are characteristic only of living nature: the oil lays down on the canvas so naturally and confidently. Alexander Sergeev himself admits that it is nature that gives him the most valuable lessons and suggests new unique forms of expressing his imagination.
Alexander Sergeev's focus is on flowers: wild and garden, young daisies and proud peonies, heavy sunflowers and fresh roses. It is the freshness and lightness, the fragrant thicket of petals and the coolness of morning gardens that embrace the surprised viewer, charging the atmosphere with the sincere and fragrant beauty of the garden.
Now the artist lives and works in Moscow, is a member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists of Moscow.
Since 1998, he has had personal exhibitions, his works are exhibited in London (2006), and in the very center of capital exhibitions (in the Moscow City Duma, the Federation Council, the Central House of Artists).
