How to Change Front and Rear Differential Oils - Toyota Landcruiser 80/105 Series

In this video we show how to change the front and rear differential oils of an 80 Series Landcruiser.
The video applies to all 80 series and 105 series Landcruiser models. Refer to the firewall plate in the engine bay for axle codes:
K292 – Open differentials front and rear
K294 – Locking differentials front and rear (factory lockers)
K295 – Open front differential and limited slip differential (LSD) rear, as shown

Parts and Consumables required:
Front (with diff locker) – 2.65L of SAE 90 or 80W-90 API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil
Front (without diff locker) – 2.80L of SAE 90 or 80W-90 API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil
Rear – 3.25L of SAE 90 or 80W-90 API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil (for LSD if applicable)
4x drain/fill plug gaskets – Toyota part no. 12157-10010
2x drain plug – Toyota part no. 90341-18040 (Optional)
2x fill plug – Toyota part no. 90341-18006 (Optional)
Paper towels or rags
Brake & parts cleaner or degreaser

Tools:
Socket set – 24mm
Socket wrench to suit above sockets
Torque wrench to suit above sockets (36 lb-ft, 49 Nm)
Drain pan (Minimum 4L)
Hand pump bottle (e.g., STM Tom Thumb)
Flathead screwdriver

Recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Safety glasses
Nitrile Gloves
