This is a G tune Taught to Hiram by Brother Giles, CFX who was his dorm manager at St. Joseph's School for Boys in Bardstown, KY. He and his brother were placed there after their father, Zeke, was jailed as the brothers took in orphans and fostered boysin times of need. Zeke eventually got out of jail and the family moved to Nashville, IL.
Brother Giles was a fiddler and one of the few influences on the brothers who did not have a criminal record or was alcoholic. He taught them several tunes, including this one.
