FIRE ON FIRE 🔥 COMPLETE FIREGRAY MAP

Firestar touched his muzzle to Graystripe's cheek. "But it's hard to leave."
"I miss you," Graystripe breathed. "But I'll be with you soon enough."

Fire on Fire is a MAP highlighting the relationship between Firestar and Graystripe. It takes place in an AU in which the two of them become mates during the first series, and goes through their life as they experience it.

WHAT HAPPENS? (Spoilers for the MAP!)
The MAP opens with Graypaw out on the territories at night, sent off by his mentor, Lionheart. He sees a strange orange kittypet sitting atop a fence, illuminated by fireflies.
Fast forward to after Firepaw has settled into the Clan. Together with Ravenpaw, they make a fine trio, but eventually their friend has to leave. They comfort each other in the dark and rain. Graypaw feels a crush begin to spark.
During their warrior ceremony, the newly named Graystripe watches Fireheart beam, a warrior of ThunderClan despite the odds. Though everyone is watching, Fireheart's smile is only for his friend. They stick with each other through finding WindClan and through exiling Tigerclaw's.
On a starlit night, Graystripe confesses his love. To his surprise, Fireheart reciprocates. Their love blooms and continues to grow despite Tigerstar's constant presence weighing on the back of their minds. Then, with Tigerstar dead and Scourge defeated, they finally have the chance to settle down. They ask Sandstorm to act as a surrogate mother for them, and she happily agrees. Despite not being a part of Fireheart and Graystripe's relationship, she is certainly a part of their family. Leafkit and Squirrelkit are born, and the two are overjoyed.
Then, tragedy strikes. Graystripe is taken away by twolegs on a mission to rescue his daughter. And though they're far apart, they never give up on looking for each other. Graystripe finds a friend in Millie and returns to the Clans at their new lake territories. Firestar leaps from the gathering tree to see him in an instant, and they embrace. At that moment, the world fades away, and it's only them.
Graystripe reunites with his family, now larger than before. He and Fireheart love each other season after season, through loss and betrayal, through new life and new beginnings.
The Great Battle with the Dark Forest erupts on a stormy night. The partners fight side by side, protecting each other, until it's time for Firestar to face his final foe - Tigerstar. He defeats him, but at the cost of his last life.
With his final breaths leaving him, Firestar's family gathers around to say their goodbyes. He whispers his love to Graystripe with his final breaths, then ascends to StarClan. Despite the heartache, he wears a smile so big his family can't help but smile back. He's at peace, and he'll see them again in StarClan's hunting grounds.
