On Sunday, 26th August I travelled to the Great Dorset Steam Fair, located just outside Tarrant Hinton, the Great Dorset Steam Fair covers over 600 acres, and is reputed to be the largest collection of steam and vintage equipment in the world!
Located at the top of the site, and with views back down over everything and the camping, we find the section known as "How 'Twer Done in Granfers Day', which details and displays many of the equipment and skills from yesteryear, expertly demonstrated by those determined not to let such skills die out, well worth a look round. Next door we find the impressive collection of vintage tractors, join us as we travel through time (roughly in date order) from the early days, up to the fairly modern days, a massive section, but very fascinating.
