Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this T-One vehicle wiring harness with four-pole flat trailer connector. Now this wiring harness has been designed to fit your 2007 to 2012 Kia Rondo, and on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm if this harness will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now this harness is going to give you that four-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.

This will be compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters. Those adapters are sold separately. Included is a dust cap for that four-pole flat connector, and as you can see, it is tethered to the plug housing, which is great. That's going to make sure that you don't misplace it or lose it. And as you know, that dust cap is going to cover up those connection points when the plug is not in use.

The black box on this harness is the ModuLite power module, and the ModuLite is going to make sure that your vehicle's wiring matches out of your trailer. This is not going to affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate. This harness is designed to connect quickly and easily. There's not gonna be any splicing of wires, no alterations to your vehicle's wiring, which could lead to damage, or maybe even void warranties. This custom T-One, these custom T-One connector plugs are going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's side and passenger side taillights.

You will have to remove the taillight assemblies to access that harness. These T connectors are custom fitted for your vehicle, so they are going to match up perfectly with the connection points on your vehicle. They're gonna snap and lock together for a tight secure fit. Once you have those plugged in, you will need to make a ground connection. The ground wire is this white wire.

As you notice, it does have a ring terminal attached to it, and it does come with some self-tapping screws that you see there. So you're gonna be able to get this grounded to a suitable location, such as your vehicle's frame or crossmember. You just wanna make sure that that surface is clean and rust-free. Next, you will want to mount your ModuLite box to a safe, out-of-the-way location. You can do that with another mounting screw that's included with this kit. Maybe you could use a cable tie or some double-sided adhesive tape, and all you need to make sure is it's out of the way, and it's going to be secure. And then you can secure any slack or excess of your wiring with the included cable ties. And then once installation is complete, the four-way flat connector will get stowed beneath your vehicle near the trailer hitch. We do have several mounting options available here at etrailer.com, so you can check that out, and that'll allow you to secure that underneath your vehicle by your trailer hitch receiver. This is constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire. Instructions are included. And I also wanted to point out that it is recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle, and the four-pole connector itself. That grease is designed to prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I am including our item number for that grease. You can just take that item number and pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that grease, and you can add that to your order.
