GP18 Gets Another Shot At Life! NHN 1802 On The Boston Sand Train!

Hello everyone, in this video I am yet again following the Boston Sand train “DOBO.” However, a new face makes its first appearance on the train. Introducing NHN 1802, recently acquired by the 470 Club for rehabilitation and leased to the New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad. Back in the fall of 2024 I chased the NHN D7 job up their branch when the 1802 was being delivered to the railroad, now it’s in operational service! NHN 1802 is a GP18, formerly owned by the MBTA and sporting a special blue and grey scheme (which has been faded away for the most part) used for the MBTA’s work trains. Now living another life on the New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad in freight service also giving the railroads other GP18 1801 a companion! Ended up following the “DOBO” from Dover, NH to Woburn, MA.
