After a toned down event in 2021 due to the pandemic, the stars are out for the 94th Academy Awards with a full-scale red carpet.
Bradley Cooper, Ciarán Hinds of "Belfast," Jane Campion and Marlee Matlin all posed on the red carpet.
This red carpet opened an hour earlier than previous years because eight awards, including film editing, sound and production design, are being presented before the show in an effort to keep the telecast to a tight three hours. Those winners' speeches will be edited down and will air during the Oscars program.
Regina King, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes are serving as co-hosts.
Netflix's "The Power of the Dog," directed by Jane Campion, leads with 12 nominations.
