In this first of a two part series, we visit north Alabama and the city of Decatur, a port city and major junction on both the NS and CSX railroads. Both lines share a single-tracked railroad bridge across the Tennessee river, and with over 30 trains crossing per day, delays and waits are common. We'll see a steady mixing of traffic on a cool, cloudy July day. Enjoy!
