Hello everyone!
We’re back at it and thought we’d start the New Year off with a bang featuring legendary trumpeter, flugelhornist and trombonist Vaughn Nark!
He first roared on the scene when he was a member of the United States Air Force premiere jazz ensemble, the Airmen of Note. His spectacular range and command of the horn are remarkable and he’s performed with many superstars in the jazz and entertainment world including Dizzy Gillespie, Tony Bennett, Henry Mancini, Doc Severinsen and Wynton Marsalis to name a few.
In this episode Vaughn shares his personal insights on motivation and playing philosophy, practice tips, gear and his long time endorsement with Yamaha trumpets. He also share some fun anecdotes regarding his lessons with Doc Reinhardt, his friendship with Dizzy Gillespie and more.
