In 2014, a French company called Les Fines Lames introduced a luxury cigar knife. While the concept of having a knife that had a hole to cut cigars was not new, the company's cigar knife was a lot different than previous attempts from companies like XIKAR and Havana Al-Mar. For one, it was much more expensive ($350+), but it was also much larger and designed for more modern cigars.
Brooks Whittington reviewed that knife and was not fond of it. He found it awkward to use, expensive and most problematically, not that great at consistently cutting cigars. But Les Fines Lames now has a second model, Le Petit, which solves a lot of Brooks' problems on paper.
