A unique collection of Australia's magnificent Red-tailed Black Cockatoo's are cared for at the Sydney bird sanctuary. The threatened Cockatoo's are managed outside in natural habitat to encourage wild behaviours and to promote healthy flock management. The Feathered Friends Bird Sanctuary is a unique free-flight bird facility nestled in Western Sydney committed to the conservation and preservation of both native and exotic bird life. The sanctuary cares for over 60 free flighted birds, from large flocks of Black Cockatoos to Australia's largest bird of prey the Wedge-tailed eagle. The facility maintains some of the planet's most endangered bird species and provides critical information to assist in preventing the decline of threatened species.

The teams ultimate goal is to improve community knowledge, increase awareness and the conservation of bird life.
