The NSW Youth Orchestras (NSWYO)
NSWYO presents orchestral programmes of the highest calibre in concerts, camps and tours across the State. It performs with Australia’s best soloists, and will present workshops and masterclasses by the most accomplished musicians in the country.
NSWYO gives young musicians exceptional orchestral training and experience through collaboration with leading orchestral musicians, conductors and educators.
As a premier youth orchestra, NSWYO performs high profile concerts in leading Sydney and NSW venues.
NSWYO is honoured to have Professor the Hon. Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO as its Patron.
Artistic Director Thomas Tsai is a highly regarded music educator. He was the founding Artistic Director of NSWYO’s predecessor, the North Sydney Youth Symphony. He served as Chief Conductor of the former SBS Radio & Television Youth Orchestra.
