I firmly believe, right now, we are lucky to be living in the greatest era of the internal combustion engine. How so? Well, just pre the full electric onslaught, petrol cars, in the most part, are technically brilliant, but have lost their way. Supercars are too big, too powerful, too fast and too uninvolving to be fun on the road - and that can mostly be said for hot hatches too.
So, where do we go. Yup.. the back catalogue! Think of mid 2000’s hot hatches - E46 and E92 M3’s, 996/997 Porsches, even more exotica like the V8 Vantage or the Lotus Esprit can all be bought for less than the price of a new Golf GTI
I will be documenting my journey of buying & running great, used, drivers cars, rare cars, special cars, interesting cars - all with the aim of doing so without losing money like we do when buying new.
