Romain Duda - Chronicles of Central Africa
This channel presents short ethnographic films on the daily life of the Baka populations of Cameroon and the Bayaka of Congo-Brazzaville, as well as the Bateke populations of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The videos deal in particular with hunting and relations with animals, my intial research subject, but also with other aspects of the social life of the forest populations: ritual life, song, dance, health, and food.
As an anthropologist focusing on human-animal relations, hunting and health issues, I am working with indigenous people of Central African rainforest since 2012. I am now a permanent researcher at CNRS in France.
