Sounds of Cyprus
Sounds of Cyprus is a Cypriot orchestra co-founded by Peter Douskalis and Elena Chris in New York City. The group performs the traditional music of Cyprus in varying orchestrations and styles that both consciously honor the time period of composition and period instruments as well as perform with a modern approach. The aim of the group is to preserve and spread the musical tradition of Cyprus.
Το “Sounds of Cyprus” είναι ένα μουσικό συγκρότημα που ασχολείται με την παραδοσιακή μουσική της Κύπρου και έχει βάση την Νέα Υόρκη, Αμερική. Στόχος του συγκροτήματος είναι να διατηρήσει και να διαδώσει τη μουσική παράδοση της Κύπρου.
