We were proud to perform Ya Lubnan - music by Demetris Constantinou and lyrics by Koumettos Katsioloudis - at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library of the New York Public Library, as part of our Sounds of Cyprus program for the New York State Council on the Arts.

The song speaks to longing for homeland, cultural memory, and resilience - echoing a powerful theme in Mediterranean and diaspora communities. In this performance we honored the Cypriot Maronite Arabic dialect Sanna, a moribund dialect spoken by the Maronite community of Cyprus, offering a rare glimpse into its sound and preservation through music.
