Petronel Baard

Petronel Baard is a powerhouse voice and songwriter from South Africa. She is a cabaret star and recording artist that was born in Riversdale in the Southern Cape region of South Africa where she once again lives. After growing up and matriculating in a little town called Villiersdorp, she completed her BA Degree as well as Honors Degree in Drama at the University of Stellenbosch. In 1999 she won a national singing competition, ATKV Crescendo and made her first album that was nominated for a South African Music Award.

Today Petronel has won numerous awards and is known not only for her soothing, golden voice, but also as an avid arts and theatre entrepreneur. She is a thinker, doer and passionate artist that changes the world around her for the better with the power of her art. She has a strong online presence and tours and records constantly.
