The extraordinary life of Pikelet Butterwiggle!
Rescued by, Fostered from & Adopted off, Big Dog Rescue in 2013.
Pikelet was a red English Staffordshire bull terrier who grew up in Balmain, Sydney and later lived out his days regional Victoria, Australia.
After a brave fight, Pikelet who had been diagnosed with Leukaemia finally went into remission after 6 months of Chemotherapy, sadly, he passed away on October 24th 2024, due to severe anaemia. Even though the vet was called, Pikelet took his last breaths unassisted, the vet arrived just as his heart stopped beating.
Pikelet was one of six forever rescued pup siblings to pass over a fifteen mth period. His dear brother, right-paw man "Patty Cakes" passed less than 3 months later, succumbing to Stage 5 Lymphoma. Four other forever sisters passed from their congenital birth defects.
"LIFE OF PIKELET" is a registered Australian special needs Animal Rescue.
In Pikelet's name, we rescue the perfectly imperfect & differently abled.
