HIJRATNAMA 1947

The channel without any prejudice endeavors to document, through oral history, the colossal tragedy faced/ witnessed by inhabitants of the' land of five rivers' following partition of Punjab in 1947 which resulted in mass communal violence sponsored by the respective establishment resulting in brutal killings of millions of innocent people, suicide by young women to save their honour, abduction of girls and women, loot and above all forced migration from their land where they lived for generations.

Also, the channel would try to highlight humanitarian acts of individuals who risked their own lives to save people of other community during that time.
