Florida Supreme Court

The Florida Supreme Court has existed for more than 150 years. More than 80 women and men have served as justices since it was created upon statehood in 1845 and held its first arguments in 1846. Today, seven justices make up the Court with the Chief Justice overseeing the entire State Courts System. Over the years, Florida’s highest court has helped to shape Florida and a nation. The supreme court is located in Tallahassee, Florida.
