Hi, I'm Jason a wildlife biologist and compulsive explorer. I live in a small house in Idaho and grow or hunt most of my food. Saving money on everyday necessities gives me the budget to explore more of the world.
I started out exploring the western US as a kid, then discovered myself in central America and the Caribbean working on bat ecology and diseases. I really really enjoy studying wildlife, but realized we need to do more than just learn about them. Now I work full time protecting and restoring wild rivers, forests, and vast landscapes in Idaho. To avoid conflicts of interest, you won't see much of my life's work on this channel unless you have a private link- try Idaho Fish and Game's channel instead.
I'm never sure what you'll find here next because I often enjoy things simply for their contrast. I am every bit as comfortable alone in the wilderness as a nice resort, or flying a drone as walking. I may do one simply because last time I did the other.
