At the beginning, this channel was an output for my original guitar music in Drop G tuning.

From 2006, I wrote more than 2200 Drop G Swing Studies, roughly one every two days, through a full decade. I admit the thing was a bit obsessive. In 2016 the flow began to slow down. Today, I only occasionally pull out a guitar in Drop G.

I did put together some recordings I made between 2007 and 2009 on a CD, "Drop G Swing Studies vol. 1", that you can find here : http://jeanpaulbataille.bandcamp.com

But in 2016, I decided to learn new instruments, and choose the weissenborn and the clawhammer banjo. And so proceeded to write studies for them. You'll find some of them here.

As far as I can see, the weissenborn work doesn't draw a lot of viewers. Probably because it barely have anything comparable. Don't know.

I also play the guitar in open D tuning from time to time. The two videos I made attract surprisingly a substantial number of views. Go figure.
