An Appeal To Heaven

2026 marks the start of America's 250th anniversary, a fight for liberty & freedom. There will be many who will endeavor to point to the cause of the War for Independence. This page is home to content you won't see anywhere else. Why? Because what stirred in the hearts & minds of the colonists was to be free: economic freedom, freedom to assemble, & freedom to live as one desires. These are all true, but above these was the freedom to exercise one's religion, whatever the persuasion. Outlets like PBS, the History Channel, & even Fox Nation produce historic narratives that ignore the want for religious freedom spurred on by the Great Awakening of the 1740s & bleeding into the conflicts of the 1760s that led to war. While one doesn't make the other, influencers like Rev. George Whitefield become unifying figures for 13 distinct countries – colonies – that would band together & appeal to heaven for the justice of their cause.
