I’m Rien Schalkwijk, a performing and creating organist, taking you on a journey through time, emotion, and forgotten treasures. I revive music that deserves to be heard, uncovering hidden gems from organ traditions around the world and sharing them with you.

For me, the organ is more than an instrument — it’s a storyteller, carrying history, beauty, and feeling in every note. On this channel, you’ll find performances ranging from delicate intimacy to majestic power, alongside my own compositions and works from friends.

I’m fascinated by transforming the printed, one-dimensional reality into a multi-dimensional sound experience. Because when you do, you can evoke the past and connect it with the present day. Maybe that’s the magic I love most in music performance.
