Hellllloooo world!
My name is Carmen Xochimil Flores and I started this channel in mind of the little 8 year old fetus Carmen who had no clue what to expect when it came to Folklórico. As I continue to stay active in the community, I noticed this huge problem of beginners being left in the shadows without any guidance on how to navigate our world. And it’s not getting any better. Here’s everything I wished someone would have told me sooner.
Dance Experience
The most notable companies Carmen has danced for have been: Ballet Folklórico de Los Ángeles, Técnica Arte y Folklore, Relámpago del Cielo and Danza Artes de México. She 's also taken ballet classes at Anaheim Ballet and Odyssey Dance Academy. She was a background dancer for Lila Downs in 2023 with Danza Artes de México. Carmen regularly attends winter dance intensives at the Martha Graham School and Folklórico workshops and masterclasses throughout the year.
