Gardony's 2015 live sextet album, "Life In Real Time" and his 2017 solo disc, "Serious Play" were both named as one of the "Ten Best Jazz Albums of the Year" by the Boston Globe. "Serious Play" was also on Down Beat Magazine's "Best CDs of 2017" list. His latest album, "Close Connection" also made DownBeat's "Best of 2022" list.
Gardony has been praised for his “fluid pianism” by The New York Times and Dave Brubeck called him a "great pianist"
