NESP Marine and Coastal Hub
The NESP Marine and Coastal Hub (MaC) is funded by the Australian Government under the National Environmental Science Program (NESP). Research partnerships fostered by the hub deliver practical outcomes for Australia's marine and coastal environment and communities.
The NESP MaC Hub is one of four research hubs funded for six years (2020–2021 to 2026–2027) under the Australian Government’s National Environmental Science Program.
The hub has 28 research partners and is hosted jointly by the University of Tasmania and the Reef and Rainforest Research Centre. Hub projects are overseen by a steering committee and managed by a leadership team and two support teams (southern and northern node) in collaboration with the Department of Climate Change, the Environment, Energy and Water.
