Kansas City Women's Business Center

The Women’s Business Center (WBC) is one of 100 such organizations in the U.S. partially funded by the Small Business Administration. This program was initiated to foster the participation of women entrepreneurs in the economy, especially those who have been historically underserved or excluded. At the time, women were significantly underrepresented in the business owner ranks. Today, women continue to face challenges in financing and growing their businesses to scale.

Established in 2000, the WBC operates as a program of the Enterprise Center of Johnson County, however, we serve the entire KC metro area. In any given year, we touch thousands seeking to start or grow businesses.

The mission of the Women’s Business Center is to develop, counsel and mentor women in all stages of business development and growth. We do this through classes, seminars, peer roundtables, one-on-one consultation, networking and referrals. WBC is a proud partner of the OneKC for Women Alliance.
