ReligiousMeditations
Religious meditations. I had an epiphany when I was a teenager and my parents took my sister and I on a trip to Turkey. We were standing in the Aya Sophia in Istanbul and I was looking up at golden shafts of light streaming through the windows above. I was suddenly filled with a profound sense of awe and peace. I realized that God was always present: religions, rulers, and people come and go, but God is unchangeable. God simply is and is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God will always be there. God truly is the great and wonderful, "I am."
I continued to explore the building, and turned a corner to find an image of Christ covering an entire wall. Thus my life has been ever since that defining moment, I have continued to find God's presence in unexpected places. I was Christened and confirmed the following year.
I have shared my favourite poems, meditations, Bible passages, and prayers on this channel. I used my personal photographs and videos from the past 20 years.
