The Idaho Northern Garden Railroad (INGRR)
This channel is devoted to steam powered G scale and to full scale railroads. My first video, "Construction of a G Scale Garden RR" covers a 2.5 year construction project that began in 2017. My empire is loosely patterned after a very scenic section of the Union Pacific railroad that ran from Emmett to McCall in central Idaho. That line features a 35 foot tunnel that is believed to be the shortest in North America. I've duplicated that tunnel in my back yard empire.
The video “A 2023 Update of the Idaho Northern Garden Railroad” (The title in the video is, "Scenes from a G Sale RR") shows my layout as it is today in 2025. There's been a lot of additions since my most popular and first video mentioned above. Compare the two.
I have digitized my old train videos, shot in the 1970s & 80s. The ones in the 1980s were VHS format. I've uploaded a few already. More is on the way.
